an interesting spin on being a tribute band. They started by
playing at a Mexican restaurant–taking on the comic
names of Juan, Pablo, Jorge and you guessed it - Gringo.
Beatles and fajitas were a big hit with the locals who fell in
love with the versatility of the group. “We go where no
Beatles band has gone before,” says bandleader and 
two-time Grammy winner, Dennis Scott. “The WannaBeatles
give me free reign to do some of my vocal impressions.”
Don’t be surprised if Dennis suddenly turns into Ed Sullivan,
who first introduced The Beatles to America in 1964 and
brought them to Miami Beach for their second national 
TV appearance.

But the jewel of The WannaBeatles is multi-instrumentalist,
Bryan Cumming, who has toured and recorded with such
veterans as Martin Mull and Sha Na Na, and has played
sax on sessions with Al Jarreau, The Pointer Sisters, Maria
Muldahr, and Al Hirt. “They call me ‘The Energizer Bunny’
onstage, but I’m just feeding off the incredible energy that
comes from our fellow Beatles fans.”

It is the unique combination of talents that make The
WannaBeatles a joy to watch. For example, keep an eye
on Nathan Burbank who switches back and forth between
bass and keyboard. Nathan received his master’s degree
from Northwestern University in pipe organ, but with The
