5 New Things You Can
Do on Lauderserv
Your smartphone just got even
more powerful thanks to the
upgraded version of Lauderserv.
Now, neighbors can use the
free customer service app to
check the status of a building
permit, schedule an inspection,
and pay a parking citation right
from their mobile device. With
the news and events feature,
neighbors can see the latest
announcements and upcoming
events, so they always know what's going on in
Fort Lauderdale.
You can still use Lauderserv to submit service requests on
anything from streetlight outages and overgrown
landscaping to deceased animals and graffiti. The app's
map tool helps to identify the exact location of the concern,
and the image library allows you to upload photos with
your request. Lauderserv can also be used to pay a utility
bill, check beach conditions, access the City's Twitter and
Facebook accounts, call the 24-Hour Customer Service
Center, and access the Property Reporter to review
sanitation schedules, flood zones, and more. Learn more
about Lauderserv on the City website and download the
app from the Itunes App Store or Google Play today!
New Initiative Targets Zero
Traffic Fatalities and Injuries
Reaching zero traffic-related fatalities or injuries is a huge
goal for any City, but the City of Fort Lauderdale is
committed to improving the life and safety of everyone that
travels on our streets.
On November 3, the Fort Lauderdale City Commission
joined numerous cities across the country and took the first
step toward achieving this goal by unanimously adopting
Vision Zero: Fort Lauderdale.
Vision Zero: Fort Lauderdale is a holistic
pedestrian and bicyclist safety action plan
that outlines specific objectives and
strategies to eliminate traffic fatalities or
injuries that occur on our streets. The plan
was developed in collaboration with
neighbors and community partners and
incorporates five Es - engineering,
education, encouragement, enforcement,
and evaluation - geared toward creating a
safer, more connected transportation
network for everyone.
