Fort Lauderdale Sizzles with Spectacular Summer Events!
As summer heats up, Fort Lauderdale is your headquarters for outstanding events for the entire family!
On Friday evenings, we’ve got you covered! Join us on Fort Lauderdale Beach for “Sound Waves,” a new event that
brings live music to the promenade at A1A and Las Olas Boulevard every Friday night from 5:30 - 8:30 pm through
August 7. Enjoy live bands performing an array of music from rock ‘n roll, disco, and Motown, to big band, samba,
and Latin Jazz as you stroll beside our world famous wavewall and take in picturesque views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Featured artists include: The Fabulons, Across the Universe, Bobby Rodriguez Orchestra, Blue Moon Beach Party, The
Shindigs and more! Start your weekend off with a bang by catching Sound Waves on Friday Nights!
If you’re looking for a more laid back offering, grab your lawn chairs, picnic baskets, and coolers, and head on over
to Holiday Park for the Bank of America Starlight Musicals. Now in its 37th year, the free outdoor concerts take
place on Fridays, from 7 to 10 pm on the park’s football field at 1150 G. Harold Martin Drive. Shows run through
August 7 and feature top local talent performing the best in pop, country, Top 40, rhythm and blues, jazz, tropical
rock, and more. Scheduled bands include Valerie Tyson, Pocket Change, Viva, Mr. Nice Guy, Chain Reaction, Brass
Evolution, and others. It’s a Friday night Fort Lauderdale tradition and a perfect way to spend a relaxing summer
night with family and friends!
Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 8 and get ready for the hottest event of the summer! It’s the return of
Midtown Summerfest! This year, the event moves to a new location, Orange Bowl Field at Carter Park, located at
1450 W. Sunrise Boulevard. Featuring live bands and high energy entertainment, Midtown Summerfest will have you
dancing all night long! Enjoy the best in arts, and culture, along with an expanded kids zone, exhibits, merchandise
vendors, and plenty of food and beverages. See you at Carter Park!
