President’s Message
Friends and neighbors,
ith our 2022 primary elections coming up August 23 and our general
elections following on November 8, we thought it would be helpful
W and important to review some basic elections information, especially
since there have been some changes to where and how we vote due to the recent
redistricting process.
With that, we reached out to Monica Elliot, President of the League of Women
Voters and asked her to share updated elections information relevant to our
Harbor Beach area residents. We urge you ALL to read and review the information
presented here. And we strongly recommend you visit the Broward Supervisor of
Elections website https://www.browardvotes.gov for complete voting information.
Annette Ross

BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Ann Cadwalader
Trish Bailey-Entin For the August 23 elections, every registered voter in the county, no matter if they
Pat Riley are registered as Democrat, Republican or No Party Affiliate (NPA), can vote for
Annette Ross County Judges, Circuit Court Judges and School Board District 8, which is an at-
Barry Somerstein large district, and the School Tax Referendum.
Isobel Sturgeon Finding independent information on the judges and school board can be hard, but
Jake Wurzak the League of Women Voters website, Vote411.org (https://www.vote411.org/)
is a good source, as every judicial candidate responded to the League’s questions
and 3 of 4 school board district 8 candidates responded. You simply type in your
address, select ballot (Rep, Dem or NPA) and the races on your ballot will appear.
Then, if candidate responded to our questions, you can compare their responses.
We also held candidate forums for County, Circuit Court and School District 8 and
recordings are on the League's YouTube channel.
