HUMANITY DEDICATE NEW HOME TO
BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR AND
SINGLE MOTHER OF THREE
A heartwarming celebration unfolded as AutoNation, Inc.,
and Habitat for Humanity dedicated a new home to Trudy
Henry, a single mother of three and breast cancer warrior.
Despite undergoing grueling cancer treatments and working
two jobs, Henry tirelessly contributed sweat equity at the
construction site for three years. Her inspiring journey to
homeownership moved AutoNation Associates, who also
raised $5,000 to help furnish the home. “I am so grateful,”
said Henry, “This will change our lives forever. We’re going
to grow old, graduate, and do everything together in this
home.” Ashley Shea, AutoNation’s director of brand and retail
development, remarked, “To see Trudy be presented with the
key to her new home that she helped build with such passion
is truly heartwarming.” This dedication highlights AutoNation’s
commitment to community and cancer-related causes,
highlighted by their DRV PNK initiative, which has raised
GOLDEN GIRLS TRIBUTE SHOW over $40 million.
