Jennifer O’Flannery Anderson, Ph.D.,
Community Foundation of Broward President/CEO
Jennifer O’Flannery Anderson, Ph.D., celebrated her one-year
anniversary as Community Foundation of Broward President/CEO
on August 17.
Under Jennifer’s guidance, the Community Foundation has deployed a
record number of annual grants – more than $13 million in critical
support that is helping Broward bounce back from the pandemic. The
Community Foundation also launched the $1 million BE BOLD Prize to
help jump-start local employment and the Community Foundation
commissioned an eye-opening special report entitled “Untapped
Potential,” which identifies the true potential of local philanthropy.
Jennifer brought more than two decades of local leadership experience to the Community Foundation’s top post. Previously, she
served as Nova Southeastern University’s Vice President of Advancement and Community Relations. At NSU, Jennifer created
strategies to raise NSU’s profile, engage the community and grow philanthropic support. She helped lead the university’s first
capital campaign, which raised $267 million and became the largest capital campaign ever in Broward.
Prior to joining NSU, Jennifer served as Vice President of Community Engagement at Florida Atlantic University and Executive
Director of the FAU Foundation. In addition, Jennifer was the first female President and CEO of United Way of Broward County.
She is a past Chair of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, past Chair of the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches and a graduate
of both Leadership Florida and Leadership Broward.
Michael Faerber, Real Estate Advisor, Compass
Michael Faerber is a licensed Realtor since 2004 and works fulltime in
the Greater Fort Lauderdale & Southeast Florida tri-county area of
Broward County, Miami-Dade & the Palm Beaches. He specializes in
the luxury condominium and single-family residential market along the
coastline of Broward, Miami-Dade & the Palm Beaches and in the
downtown condominium markets of the cities of Fort Lauderdale,
Miami, Boca Raton and the Palm Beaches.
He was the representative of the German-American Business Chamber
for Fort Lauderdale for many years and brings a broad network with
him. He has been active in the local Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber
of Commerce in various leadership positions within the Chamber. He
continues to be engaged in local Fort Lauderdale civic and not-for-profit
organizations and is a supporter of Riverwalk Trust. Michael is strongly committed to helping better the community he lives in.
His prior background includes more than 10 years of expertise in international marketing, public relations and project management.
He has invaluable experience in the upscale traditional hospitality industry with the Kempinski and Steigenberger Group as well as
extensive experience as an executive, consultant and project manager for various leading international corporations with offices in
Hamburg, Berlin, and Munich.
He has been a downtown resident since 2006 and enjoys the advantages and diversity our downtown brings to its residents
and visitors alike.
