RVCA President’s Message
Happy New Year!
I would like to start by thanking the RVCA Board of
Directors for their volunteer efforts during 2018.
n November 28, 2018 the Board of Directors convened a board meeting
and for the first time in a long time we had residents come to listen and
Ospeak. The main item of interest was the “AHF’s Healthy Housing
Foundation Fort Lauderdale Housing Campus Project” which is proposed to be
located a few blocks west of Rio Vista. After public comment and Board discussion
the Board unanimously agreed to oppose AHF’s project. The decision was
transmitted to our Commission, conveyed to the project representatives, and
disseminated throughout our neighborhood.
Christina Currie, Esq. While I am proud of the Board for taking a position, the more important position is
President
that of ALL of the RVCA member households. To assist in the voice of the
neighborhood as a whole being heard, the Board will be holding a General
OFFICERS Meeting (or special meeting, if needed) where a representative of each member
President household can vote to support or oppose AHF’s proposed project. In order to be
Christina Currie, Esq. able to vote on behalf of your household please make sure you are a member of

the RVCA. Please do not leave it up to your neighbors to attend and vote. The
Vice President RVCA is governed by bylaws and we need to have a certain number present and
