A new facility would be constructed on the existing
property with modern, energy efficient features. It would
be approximately 225,000 square feet and would have
a parking garage that is capable of providing the
necessary protection for our vehicles. It would include
adequate space for your police employees to do their
jobs, areas for training and space that the public will be
welcome to use for public meetings and to work together
with your police department on crime prevention and
safety-related initiatives. The full time resident population
of the City is expected to exceed 200,000 by the year
2040, and this facility will be constructed with that
growth in mind. It is also located at the main entrance to
the City on Broward Boulevard and is often the first city
symbol visitors see. Your police department should be a
visual representation of the city you never want to leave!
