SUMMARY OF RECENT PATROL LOGS

As we continue to attempt to improve communications in

the community regarding crime and the great work of the

Protect Rio Vista Patrol, we will summarize the past two

months of security logs in each issue of RIO VISTA. In the
past, only the most recent log was included and often only a

fraction of it due to space constraints. As always, the full logs

Friday, December 23, 2022 Monday, January 2, 2023
1500 A call came out regarding a grass fire at the vacant 1100 In service. There were no emails. A text and voicemail
lot. Upon my arrival, the grass was on fire near the dock. about a barefoot white-male who appeared to be drunk
I extinguished the fire with the Rio fire extinguisher and the and/or under the influence of narcotics on Ponce; neither
neighbor’s garden hose. Unknown what caused the fire. reportee phoned non-emergency phone number for assistance.

Thursday, December 29, 2022 1200 Located subject in the 900 block of Cordova; escorted
1300 Responding reference alarm. On arrival to the location out of Rio without incident, case # 23-001095.
spoke with the homeowner who stated she turned the alarm off. Resume roving patrol.

Sunday, January 1, 2022 Tuesday, January 3, 2023
1630 Completed out of town log and checked all properties. 0040 Patrol mainland/isles. Observed vehicle unoccupied
Moved packages to the back. While moving packages, with lights on in 800 block of Ponce De Leon. Made contact
observed a suspicious white male on the other side across the with homeowners who turned lights off and secured vehicle.

He advised he bought the property and waiting for city permit
to demolish the residence to build a new house.
