License Plate Reader Program Update
The Protect Rio Vista program has been working with the FLPD to acquire and install a number of License Plate Readers at
key points in our neighborhood. Unfortunately, our plans have taken a double hit recently. The City has terminated their
contract with the vendor and has asked us to hold off until they select a new vendor and can validate their installations.
The next week brought the Coronavirus crisis and a significant reprioritization of FLPD resources. We do not yet have a
timeline as to when this project can move forward but we'll keep you posted. And “Thank-you!” to the residents who have
already donated $8,575 to the LPR Fund - we will get it done!
