n 4/1/20 I assumed the position of President of the Lauderdale Harbours
Homeowners Improvement Association. I want to thank the Association for
Oputting their trust in me. I also want to thank Barbara Magill who served as
President for the last seven years. She accomplished much, leaving us a well-
organized and well-funded community. Again, Barbara, thank you.
A little introduction: I am originally from New York, transplanted here in Fort Lauderdale
in 1964, went to New River Junior High and High School at St. Thomas Aquinas and
then on to The University of South Florida and graduating with an Accounting Degree.
Together with Jill, my wife of 48 years, we have five grown, married children.
They have blessed us with 8 grandchildren.
Professionally, I worked for Anheuser Busch for 20 years, working at four different
breweries. I then went into the I.T. industry working as a COO of an SAP company
in New York City. In 2000, I purchased a few small companies. We spun out a
software company, WhipTail Technologies, that was purchased in 2013 by CISCO.
Ed Rebholz At present, I am retired and coaching football at St Thomas.
Vice-President, Lauderdale Harbours and other community organizations have been looking at improving
Lauderdale Harbors
Improvement Association the security in our communities. We are working with Fort Lauderdale Police and looking
lauderdaleharbors@gmail.com at license plate readers cameras. The system under consideration maintains a national
database. Law enforcement agencies feed into the national database the known license
plates of wanted criminals or suspects. Our cameras will be connected to this data base.
TEAM LHIA When there is a match our local Law Enforcement will be instantly notified.
Officers
Vice-President A very important informational referral service to be aware of in Broward County is
Ed Rebholz “Dial 211”. They have 24/7 counselors that are trained in everything from Suicide
Secretary crisis to letting you know where to get a COVID-19 test, or where to apply for an
Chelsea Krebs SBA loan. They can also inform you where to get other local services.
Treasurer Touchline is a particularly great service offered by Dial 211 for seniors that live alone. You

can register for a daily call check. You can sign up yourself or a parent or neighbor that
you think would benefit. If you are signing up someone other than yourself, you will have to
Welcome Committee allow a counselor to use your name when calling that person and they will have to agree.
Chairman Cordova Road Complete Streets Project is under final review. The project covers the
Linda Brand
Cordova road between 15th and 17th streets. The plan calls for a roundabout at that
intersection, a reduction in lanes on Cordova heading northbound, and the addition of
a “right turn only” lane heading southbound. Three crosswalks on Cordova Road, one
adjacent to the new roundabout, one just north of SE 16th Street, and one adjacent to
the Southport Shops entrance. Public presentation will be held over the next months.
In closing, I would like to share my understanding and expectations of President of
Lauderdale Harbours; to protect the investment in our homes, enhance our sense of
community, encourage more community involvement, enhance safety and security and
to be a conduit to the city on issues that are meaningful to Lauderdale Harbours. RV
Be safe and God Bless.
Ed Rebholz
