RVCA President’s Message
ur neighborhood is so fortunate to have a group of amazing volunteers
willing to commit the time necessary to assure that Rio Vista has an
Oexceptional board. Each of our board members brings a unique set of
qualifications that help us to succeed in accomplishing a diverse variety of goals.
I asked each of our members to share with you who they are and why they volunteer.
It is important to me that you know them well enough to say hello if you see them in
the neighborhood.
As for myself, I’ve lived in Rio Vista forever. It was the perfect time to give back to the
neighborhood that has given so much to me.
Lori Sterling Julie Hough, RVCA Secretary
President When I moved into Rio Vista, I looked for ways to get involved
president@riovistaonline.com and meet other neighbors. I have found the RVCA to be a
terrific platform: We are community based and regularly
involved in neighborhood and city-wide issues and I have met
OFFICERS so many wonderful neighbors. The role of RVCA Secretary
Vice President has been a great role for me and I hope to continue to serve
Jean-Jacques Rajter on the Board and do my small part to help keep Rio Vista the

amazing neighborhood it is.

IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT I became interested in volunteering for the RVCA about 11
Christina Currie years ago after taking my sons to the campout in Virginia
Young Park. This campout was actually what first drew our
COUNSEL TO THE BOARD family to the neighborhood while driving around looking at
Charles Tatelbaum homes. We knew it must be a very family friendly environment.
Over the years I have enjoyed getting to know the neighbors
through our local events like the Holiday Party, campout, and
meetings.
Nancy Messing, Board member
I’ve loved serving on the Board for over 15 years because I’ve
gotten to witness our neighborhood and community evolve
over that time. Kids who were in middle school when I started
have now graduated from college, gotten married, and some
have even returned to the neighborhood as adults. It has been
so special to serve this community across so many years, and
I look forward to many more. We are always looking for new
