SUMMARY OF RECENT PATROL LOGS

As we continue to attempt to improve communications in the community
regarding crime and the great work of the Protect Rio Vista Patrol, we will
summarize the past two months of security logs in each issue of RIO VISTA.

In the past, only the most recent log was included and often only a fraction
of it due to space constraints. As always, the full logs can be accessed on

Sunday, August 20th, 2023 burglary with smashed out window on Dodge Dharger.
0040 Observed car with running lights still on at home on Appears they attempted to steal the car; Case# 23-172982.
SE 11th Ct, which I observed at start of shift. Made contact
with owner who turned vehicle off. Tuesday, Sept 5th, 2023
In service. Call and texts from resident in reference to an
0255 Trespassing complaint received with a three-minute unknown female loitering on her front porch. Appeared to
time delay and I arrived at approximately 0258 hrs (case be moved along by a neighbor. Ring video attached to text.
34-2308-167149.) Unable to locate anyone in area. Upon Contact was made with resident who advised that there were
further contact with the complainant, it may have been a no further issues and the female appeared to have come from
burglary attempt to vehicles. Due to shift ending, units on the apartments across the street where she was told to leave.

9/5/23: Vehicle burglaries occurred inside Hemingway Thursday, Sept 7, 2023
garage… garage gates left open and vehicles unlocked. 1808 Received call of an auto theft (2023 Range Rover)
just occurred at home in the 900 blk of SE 6th St.; Vehicle
Sunday, August 27, 2023 owner stopped at his home under renovation but left key
0010 Continued patrol of mainland, Isles and Hemingway. fob in unlocked car. Suspect(s) came in an older model
Home on SE 9th St. garage door observed open during BMW 7 Series. Vehicle tracked / recovered in Dania Beach
patrol. Contact made with residents who closed garage door. unoccupied. Auto theft report completed. Case# 23-178565.

0700 I received call referencing possible burglary. Drove by 1827 SE 9th St. Isle resident advised of “continuous
