RVCA President’s Message

Hello Neighbors,

hat a bustling October it was! I hope everyone enjoyed our first-ever
Halloween Decorating Contest (for the winners, see page 8)and the
Wspooktacular Movie in the Park night with Broadway Bistro Food Truck
and Razzleberry’s Ice Cream. A big thank you to our dedicated board members
Ryan Lehrer, Evan Jaxtheimer and our newest board member Luci Mazza who made
these events possible.
Looking forward, be sure to save the date for our December Holiday Party on
December 7th, which promises to be a hit! For more details, please check page 6.
Lori Sterling We will be collecting new, unwrapped toys and non-perishable pantry food items for
the Food Pantry of Broward and the Children’s Diagnostic and Treatment Center. Your
support would be greatly appreciated. And remember, RVCA hosts a Winterfest Boat
RVCA OFFICERS Parade watch party on the 14th. Let’s thank our board member Nancy Messing for all
President she does to bring the neighborhood together for the holidays.

already met Luci; she single handedly organized Cartigras last spring and was the
Secretary driving force behind our Halloween House Decorating Contest. As a board member,

Our safety and security initiative is making strides, with a volunteer committee

Mark Snead established to brainstorm ideas for enhancing our neighborhood. If you’d like to join
treasurer@riovistaonline.com this committee, please email me. Thank you to everyone who participated in our
Safety and Security questionnaire. It was incredibly helpful.
BOARD MEMBERS
Nancy Messing Brand Membership renewals are approaching, and I cannot emphasize enough the
Evan Jaxtheimer importance of the RVCA combined membership and patrol support. Please see the
Alex Jean message on page 14 from board member Mark Snead, RVCA treasurer and head of
William (Bill) Kirk our security committee, for details on the need to increase our patrol/membership fee.
