If a candidate wants to be our mayor, now is the time for
him to show us some real leadership. He should work hard
to stop this enormously expensive mistake; he should not be
pointing fingers at the County. We are the “home team,”
and if we say “no,” it is hard to imagine the County, State
and Federal governments forcing us to go ahead with it.
The streetcar project was conceived around 2002. Since then
the iPhone, Uber, Lyfte, and driverless vehicles have made
their appearance. The Transportation Revolution has begun.
We should not be hitching our future to the past. Cancel The
Wave Streetcar… it’s an idea whose time has gone."
