fter virtual annual meetings the past two years due
to COVID, the LRA 2023 Annual Meeting was met
Awith much excitement and fanfare this year. A record
number of residents and community officials attended a
beautiful event at Scott & Helena Cooper’s home. Guests
enjoyed a delicious, Greek-inspired dinner, informative
presentations and a chance to reconnect in person as a
community.

We were honored to welcome so many community leaders,
including Broward County Mayor Lamar Fisher, Fort
Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis and District 1 Commissioner
John Herbst. Members of the Fort Lauderdale Police
Department who work closely with the LRA throughout the
year also attended and included Juan Giraldo, Nicholas
Herring, Bobby “JD” Jalprashad, Erik Pekrol and Judy Schilter.

Special thanks to all of the LRA Board members who worked
tirelessly throughout the year to insure that The Landings is a
safe, beautiful and special place to live.
