President’s Message continued

It’s pretty apparent that the cost of
participating in the Security Patrol Program
is quite a bargain compared to association
fees in other communities with similar property
values. The above table is not a perfect
“apples to apples” comparison, as we don’t
have a beach club, manned guard gates,
or any other private amenities. But we also
don’t have mandatory fees like every other
community on the list does. If you have the
NextDoor app, you regularly read posts about
thefts and burglaries in our neighborhood
and those that surround us – bikes, items in
unlocked cars, cars themselves, packages, you
name it. A lot of these incidents never make
into the crime statistics. The Association Board
feels it’s wise to take proactive measures
before these issues become more serious.
Having a more visible police presence
certainly can’t hurt. And the patrols have been
instructed to focus attention on the streets
where residents have signed up. So don’t just
rely on your neighbors to sign up—please help
keep Coral Ridge Country Club Estates a safe
neighborhood by participating in the Security
             Patrol Program.
Next issue we will have more to report on the
progress of the Bayview Drive project, speed
             cushion installation, and vacation rentals.
