President’s Message
Here’s the latest neighborhood
update—there’s plenty going on.
If you have entered the neighborhood at night, you may have noticed the entry
monuments are now lit up. In addition, new landscaping and irrigation have been
installed in the Bayview Drive medians just south of Commercial. Thanks to the
City’s Urban Landscape Designer, Martin Zidtowecki, for meeting with the HOA
and coordinating these improvements. Below are some photos...
We actually received a call from our friends at the Coral Ridge Association to the
south complimenting us on the improvements and asking how they can get their
Tim Hernandez monuments lit up.

On the Bayview project, the red stamped asphalt pavement has been installed at
the two roundabouts and the raised table at NE 40th Street. Irrigation repairs and
BOARD OF DIRECTORS resodding of swales is now taking place. FDOT, which is managing the project,
wants us to relay this message to all affected residents:
Jonathan Brody
Renata Cammarata If your irrigation was damaged and/or disrupted during the Bayview Drive Mobility
Tim Hernandez Improvements Project, please contact the following from the Project team. They are
Judy High nearing the end of the project and want to ensure these issues are addressed prior

It was brought to our attention that that the swales are being resodded with Bahia

grass, even though the swales may previously have had St. Augustine or Zoysia.
We inquired with FDOT about this and here is their response:
After reviewing the contract, the plans allow for contractor to place Bahia sod in
the swale area. They are required to match existing when making repairs to private
CORAL R DGE property. It is a funding challenge again since the project is primarily fed-dollars.
COUNTRY CLUB ESTATES Probably not what you wanted to hear… the delay in response was because I was
coordinating with city to see if they could do anything….
