RVCA President’s Message
I
would like to start the year off by asking every household in Rio Vista for your
support by joining or renewing both the Rio Vista Civic Association and Protect Rio
Vista program. Quite simply, the more members we have the more we are able to
accomplish.
We will be continuing to host all the popular events we are known for while at the
same time starting some new and exciting membership benefits. Membership in both
Rio Vista Civic Association and Protect Rio Vista are so important to maintaining all
that we love about living here. Did you know that your $35 membership fee pays
for all the care of the SE 7th Street entrance and the SE 9th Ave one way exit to SE
12th St? Did you know that it also pays for freshening and replacing the landscape
Lori Sterling of those same areas? That same $35 helps to pay for our Holiday Party, our annual
CampOut in the Park, Movie in the Park and the purchase of hundreds of native
orchids for our very popular Native Orchid Repopulation Program which will continue
this year. We have lots of new ideas but we need your help!
RVCA OFFICERS By supporting our Protect Rio Vista Patrol you contribute to Rio
President Vista having one of the lowest crime rates in all of Fort Lauderdale.

works. Our membership is close to 50%. Imagine how much more
Vice President we could accomplish with 100% household participation.
