RVCA President’s Message
e have a very busy April planned. Our annual RVCA Campout is scheduled
for April 1 and you don’t want to miss it! Our team of amazing volunteers
Whave planned a schedule packed full of games, a BBQ dinner, s’mores, a
movie and more! So dust off your tents and plan to join the fun! RVCA Members are
free. If you aren’t a member the event is $35 per family (members have benefits!)
Later in the month, on April 29th, we will be installing our third group of native
orchids. We have learned so much about the orchids since the start of the project,
such as:
1) They love water and lots of it!
2) They do best on Live Oaks and prefer the lower branches.
Lori Sterling 3) Like most Floridians, they don’t like cold weather!
I have been asked by many of you
about the variety we installed last
RVCA OFFICERS summer. Its scientific name is
President Encyclia Tampensis, also known as
Lori Sterling the Butterfly Orchid. In April we will

be installing other varieties. Join us
