uch is the case with the legendary 2VBSUFSEFDL on The “Quarterdeck” name was created in 1966 with the
Cordova Road. The flagship location of the popular opening of the Big Daddy’s Liquor Store and Lounge on
SQuarterdeck Restaurants opened on a fall day in October Cordova Road by current owner/partner Paul Flanigan’s
1966 as a Big Daddy’s Liquor Store and Lounge and closed its uncle, Joe “Big Daddy” Flanigan. The lounge was
doors on April 21, 2019, as it prepares to reopen in early nicknamed the “Quarterdeck” by Big Daddy, and by that
May in a brand-new Quarterdeck two-story building just two name it has been known for 50 years. The word

over the years, such as the Disco Ball.
Or the DJ Booth. Or the Dance Floor.
Or the Fire Truck that would show up
with Santa Claus at our Rio Vista
Holiday Parties. Or the Pool Tables. Or
the QD Café. Or 5 Beers for $5.00.
