GYR is a small group of
residents who are interested in
sustainability, recycling, and
preserving and protecting our
natural resources. It’s interesting,
rewarding and helps us get
community funds from the City for our greening efforts.

Are you a high schooler who needs Community Service
Hours? Adopt a block!
Pick up litter, keep your
block tidy. A block is
your street, the street
behind your house and
the two smaller streets
connecting. And we
have other Community Service Hours opportunities
available throughout the year. Interested? Contact Lori

Like to Camp outdoors? Coordinate and direct the
Annual Rio Vista Campout!
We will show you how it’s been done in the past and help
you make it even better this spring! The campout is held in
February or March and is a wonderful neighborhood
event with a cookout, s’mores, a movie in the park and
sleeping under the stars. Help keep this unique Rio Vista
