President’s Message
I
think most of us agree that the annual block party was a great success! We
switched it up a bit with the chili cook-off and the raffle this year. The fundraising
element not only added to the fun but enabled us to keep the party cost down
and provide a means to continue to maintain the annual dues at such a low rate.
The block party is such a fabulous kick-off to the winter season when most of our
part-time residents are back in town. 100+ residents attended this year and got a
chance to mingle and catch up with old neighbors and meet new ones as well.
As of this week we have received 116 memberships for 2023 and our goal is
to exceed last year’s membership base of 196 residents by year end. So please
send in your dues and application if you have not already done so! We welcome
Helena Cooper anyone interested in serving on one of our committees!
President We are excited to get involved in the City’s Green Your Routine Program, in which
helena@coopgroupllc.com
we can help do our share in recycling, while earning points towards cash payouts
OFFICERS to our Association. We have not been involved for a few years and would love
someone to chair that committee! If interested, please contact any Board member.
VICE PRESIDENT
Diane Dodich All of The Landings households benefit from the hard work and dedication this

The LPR cameras installed in 2020 keep providing our police force with valuable
SCECRETARY
Dana Mullaney data in their investigative work both locally and nationally. As part of the planning
danatmullaney@aol.com and installation, people agreed to contribute $96.00 per year towards the annual
maintenance of these cameras. The first payment request will go out in January of
2023. Residents of The Landings, Lake Estates and Bay Colony benefit from these
BOARD MEMBERS cameras and we urge you to join in with your contribution.
Scott Cooper Earlier this year, the Association purchased the two wall lights that now help to

illuminate the entrance by Federal Highway. The City assisted in the installation in
Ronnie Dennis July and has agreed to fund the purchase and installation of four more. The

installation of these additional lights is expected to be in January.
Anne Maschmeyer
annemasch@yahoo.com We are working with the City/County/FDOT to install a do-not-enter sign at the NE
55th Street and Federal Highway exit from The Landings. There have been
Michael Maschmeyer
mike@urbanrooftops.com numerous close calls where cars take the wrong turn and enter in the through the
exit lane. Additionally, a new speed sign has been placed at the dangerous curve
Paul Renneisen where NE 55 Place turns into NE 31st Ave.

FPL will be changing all streetlights with LED lighting standards. This has been in
Sussy Rosen
sussyta14@hotmail.com the works with FPL since earlier this year and we are hoping the installation will
happen in 2023.
Shahina Siddiqi
shahina507@yahoo.com The flat bridge on Bayview Dr. north of NE 55th Place is scheduled to be replaced
in 2024. Community input will be solicited by the City and their consultants in
2023 during the engineering and design process. One of the requests will be for
the bridge to be slightly elevated and dredging to occur within the immediate
channel area, providing better access for sea life and kayakers to pass under.
We have pushed and continue to push for various road repairs and landscape
maintenance needed throughout The Landings. Some have been completed by
Public Works but others are still way overdue. The City continues to be understaffed
