DID YOU KNOW?? Renting of docks, private rentals, and other commercial ventures at residential docks are illegal in Fort
Lauderdale. We live in a beautiful waterfront community. For years, the City of Fort Lauderdale has turned a blind eye to
illegal dock rentals. Nowhere is this problem more acute than in Lauderdale Harbors. Our isles represent the most prime
dockage in Fort Lauderdale. We are three minutes from the inlet. We are five minutes to and from the ocean. It is no wonder
that there is a lot of demand for dockage in our neighborhood. That demand brings a lot of potential income. For some, it is
too tempting to resist. What every resident needs to understand is that laws are in place for a reason.
