he name of a cool, refreshing new drink created by two
thirsty entrepreneurs during the pandemic. Both are part
Tof Broward’s prominent Drum family--hence the name-
-who, over the decades, have helped build the community
through real estate development, political leadership, and
hospitality projects, including Lauderdale Marina, Drum
Realty, and the popular waterfront restaurant, 15th Street
Fisheries, as well as service in local government.
The refreshing libation created by Clark Drum and Logan
Roschman (Logan’s mother’s maiden name was Drum) made

Clark and Logan grew up together in Fort Lauderdale, playing
sports, boating and traveling together on family vacations.
Both left Florida after college to take jobs in other states, but
the pandemic brought them home again.

             A Creative Solution

Bored with being cooped up during COVID isolation, they
decided to take a getaway to the islands. There, the new drink
was born as a solution to pandemic supply chain shortages.
“We were in the Bahamas during COVID, and we ran out of
mixers for our rum drinks,” Clark recalls. “So we started using
coconuts, and that inspired the idea for the drink.”

             An Easy Relationship
Clark had worked in marketing before moving back to
